Updating Adobe Flash Player for Chromium/Iceweasel on CrunchBang Waldorf/Debian Wheezy

Oh, oh does Flash players still exist on the Web? More than I expected. Unfortunately, the version of the player that comes along with Crunchbang Waldorf is quite old, and it works practically only with YouTube. My sister asked me to solved this on her computer (yes, I convinced her to use CrunchBang on her old Sony VAIO, and she's enthusiastic). Step-by-step procedure.

Well, let's start by adding the right repository:

$ sudo geany /etc/apt/sources.list &

add as a last line:

deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy-backports contrib non-free

then let's play:

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree

Close Chromium and restart. Everything should be fine.

To conclude, I suggest to return to the editor, comment the last line you added

# deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy-backports contrib non-free

and rerun

$ sudo apt-get update

just not to mix up things in your repositories.
